Interested in having a sourdough starter, but intimidated by the thought of feeding and caring for one?  Let’s take a crash course to get hands on and learn the foundations of how to feed your starter, the science and benefits of sourdough, getting familiar with the lingo, and taste-testing a recipe sure to please- chocolate chip cookies!

Participants will leave with their own starter (bring a small mason jar if you have one!), whole wheat bread flour from Hazzard Free Farms to get the first few feedings started, a pamphlet of resources, and cookie dough to bake at home!

Amera is the owner of Faith Over Fear Bakery and has been making sourdough products for 3 years.  Her first year, she didn’t even make bread! Scaling from personal baking, to selling at multiple farmers markets, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiential insight to inspire others to have the confidence to start their own sourdough journey!
